A Breath of Fresh Air For Darrell

Yesterday I told Darrell that languishing in bed watching Jeremy Kyle, Bargain Hunt and Loose Women and eating hob nobs would not aid his speedy recovery and he really should try and resume a "normal and active life" .....
So he limped (????) over the road to the village public hostelry to investigate their homage to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee ......
Though we are not experts, it seems to be a odd confection indeed. We are very much believers of the less is more artistic movement and not over egging the creative pudding, but we think that there maybe something slightly missing (and not just the burst blue balloon!),  but who are we to judge? .... Perhaps they are planning to add more nearer the day?  Anyway the robust debate that ensued after Darrell's investigation  certainly gave him something more to focus on other than why everyone seems to dress down in baggy tracksuit bottoms and trainers when appearing on Jeremy Kyle .....

"Less is more." I assume it will not be bunting akimbo in the Mrs. G household.

Well Darrell, I certainly expect to see Ma'am's head, at the very least, appear emblazoned upon your sling for this patriotic weekend ahead?! JantheFan x

That display is o so sad and i think that you boys need to show your local how it should be done and at a times of mass jubilation less is never more only more more will do its not a time to hang a burst balloon its a time to hang bunting of all sorts wave flags wear crowns, chuck glitter at every thing make sure you have lots of red white and blue etc i am with Jan the fan as you missed the song contest i am expecting you to celebrate our god save the queen holiday in royal majestic style may be you should ask the land loser if he would like you to give him a hand to deck his tavern out he could pop down the pound shop and grab a few things i do so hope you boys show him how it should be done big patriotic wave a flag love Marc and Hugh

A new affliction for Darrell? A limp?? Perhaps a gentle reminder to Darrell that he needs to be fully mobile for maximum enjoyment of the upcoming holiday will speed recovery. Great suggestion from Marc for the boys helping to make certain there are proper decorations all round for this special celebration of Her Majesty's reign. Bound to help Darrell forget his injuries and heal faster, hopefully anyway.... Dianne
